| A Brief History |
| A lifelong resident of Batesburg, I began working in the area of public accounting upon graduation from Charleston Southern University in 1970. The business world has seen many changes since that time. In those days, our working tools were several number 2 pencils, a big eraser, and lots of green ledger sheets. Now they are a keyboard, a tower, a flat panel, and a laser printer.
The challenge these days is to try to keep up! This is true no matter what field you work in. As for the accounting field, these improvements have allowed us more time to focus on the really important issues that face individuals and businesses today-mainly, complying with an ever growing number of rules and regulations that currently govern business practices. The ultimate goal when all is said and done is to have paid the correct amount of tax under the prevailing tax laws. |
Our Staff |
 We have a well trained and highly intelligent staff to bring you the best in accounting and tax work. Besides me, we have Nancy Hare, who is responsible for bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax. Nancy joined the firm in 2003. She has years of experience in the financial area and enjoys working with people, a must in the public accounting world. In addition to Nancy, we have Era Whitmire, who works primarily during tax season. She has years of experience in accounting and tax, having been head of the accounting department at a regional distributing company.
